一、teaching aims:

1. ss can understand a celebration about time ,place and activities

2. ss can master the phrases and sentences like

ceremony / banquet / invite … to …/ help with / need a hand (with …)

When and where will the party be held?

Can you give us some ideas for the party activities?

3. ss can talk about their way to celebrate freely.

二、key points:

Ss can make an invitation freely. And then give proper time and information.

Step 1 Warming Up

1. Look and match.

1brainstormWhat do we usually hold a party for?

to celebrate birthday 慶祝生日

to welcome new employees 歡迎新員工

to celebrate festivals 慶祝節(jié)日

to express thanks 表達(dá)感謝

(2)the ss look at pictures and finish matches.

(3)birthday party: to celebrate one’s birthday

opening ceremony: to celebrate the opening of a school / a company / an event

banquet: to celebrate special occasions

welcome party: to welcome newcomers

2. Number and listen.

1ss can read the dialogue and then the teacher ask some to show themselves and make a dialogue.

*2discuss in a group and invite ss to attend talking.

A: Hello, ____________ . This is ____________.

B: Oh! Hi, ____________ . How are you?

A: I’m good. How about you?

B: I’m great. What can I do for you?

A: I want to invite you to ____________.(聚會(huì)類(lèi)型)
